We are seeking a confident, creative, imaginative and highly organised Marketing and Communications Manager who is more than capable of working independently to lead and deliver our marketing and communications.This is a standalone role requiring someone who is comfortable working independently, managing their own workload and taking initiative. You will be responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating marketing and communication projects that support our organisational objectives, and you’ll also play a big part in defining business objectives. You will be working closely with the CEO and reporting directly to this postholder, with plenty of opportunity to use your leadership and creative skills to fully establish this new post.The successful candidate will be imaginative, resourceful and an excellent communicator,confident and capable of turning ideas into practical actions and results to drive engagement forstrong business success.

Duties and responsibilities

• Develop and implement marketing and communications plans aligned with organisational goals
• Create and embed engaging content for website (Wordpress), newsletters, social media and promotional materials.
• Manage and maintain the organisation's online presence.
• Identify opportunities to increase awareness of the organisation and its impact.
• Support the development of campaigns, events and promotional activities.
• Manage project timelines, priorities and budgets effectively.
• Monitor progress and report outcomes to the CEO.
• Ensure activities are delivered on time and to a high standard.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with partners, supporters and community stakeholders.
• Draft clear and compelling communications for a range of audiences.
• Represent the organisation professionally when required.
• Produce reports on marketing performance and project outcomes.
• Support funding, partnership and business development activities through effective communications.
• Track engagement, participation and online growth.
• Produce regular reports and updates for the CEO.
• Monitor performance against agreed objectives and outcomes.
•Support the collection of impact data, case studies and stakeholder feedback.

Skills and experience
Essential skills and experience

• Experience in marketing, communications, project management or a related role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Confidence in managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Creative thinking and the ability to generate new ideas.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel,PowerPoint and Outlook
 
Desirable
• Experience working within the built environment, social enterprise, charity or membership sectors.
• Knowledge of social media management and digital marketing tools.
• Experience of website content management systems and email marketing platforms.
• Basic design skills using tools such as Canva or similar.
