Description
Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Control of Contractors Co-Ordinator to oversee and manage contractor activities across our facilities. This role involves ensuring compliance with safety standards, coordinating contractor schedules, and maintaining effective communication between all parties. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining operational efficiency while prioritising safety and regulatory adherence. Experience in report writing, root cause analysis, and first aid is desirable to support incident investigations and safety management processes.
Duties and responsibilities
- Liaise with sub-contractor groups, and account key stakeholders, to ensure the timely issue of work authorisations & permits to work in line with procedural requirements.
- Plan and prioritise works, in collaboration with key stakeholders, to ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensure all relevant sub-contractor H&S information is proactively obtained and thoroughly reviewed.
- Ensure all relevant risks and associated control measures have been robustly adopted prior to authorisation of works.
- Audit and inspection of sub-contractor works to ensure adherence to procedural and legislative requirements to drive compliance and continuous improvement.
- Report, investigate and drive corrective/preventative actions in instances of sub-contractor violations and non-conformances to prevent re-occurrences.
- Compliance reporting to demonstrate operational transparency and to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Development of strong relationships with sub-contractor groups to drive a culture of trust, collaboration and adherence.
Skills and experience
- Previous experience in a similar role with good knowledge of M&E
- Desirable: NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate

- Successful management of sub-contractor groups, from both an
- operational and safety perspective, to prevent undesirable outcomes.
- Ability to develop positive working relationships with internal/external key
- stakeholders and sub-contractor groups.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and reactive environment.
- Strong communicator, with the ability to inspire confidence.
