Role

We are seeking a Development Services officer to join Research, Enterprise and Innovation Services at Canterbury Christ Church University. The role will be focused on developing business collaboration at Discovery Park, raising the profile of the University and how we can support businesses through a range of opportunities.

The role will develop an understanding of businesses needs at Discovery Park, help increase the number of businesses we work with, and increase the number of interactions we have with these organisations. The role will be primarily based at Discovery park with occasional visits to our main campus in Canterbury. We are happy to consider workers on a part time (up to 8 weeks) and full time (4 weeks) basis.

Duties and responsibilities
- Proactively contact businesses, attend networking events and support marketing to raise the profile of CCCU.

- Meet with a range of organisations and ask questions to develop an understanding of their business and business needs.
- Identify opportunities for businesses to collaborate with CCCU.
- Answer business enquiries and signpost to colleagues for further information where relevant.
- Understand the University offer for business and how CCCU can support regional organisations.
- Undertake desk based research to identify appropriate partners for the University.
- Effectively record business, contact and opportunity engagement data on our Salesforce CRM.
- Develop internal relationships at CCCU as required to deliver on external requests and projects. 
- Support a range of activities as required across Research, Enterprise and Innovation Services.

Skills and experience

- Experience of supporting the development of stakeholder relationships and partnerships.

- Experience contributing to a range of projects, activities and teams

- Experience leading campaigns or projects

- Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage new stakeholders

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Adaptable and motivated with the ability to work independently
