Role
Duties and responsibilities
- Set up and manage the registration desk at the main reception area.
- Welcome delegates, speakers, and visitors upon arrival.
- Register attendees and assist with event sign-in procedures.
- Provide directions and guide guests to conference sessions, exhibition spaces, and other event locations within the building.
- Answer basic attendee queries and provide general event information.
- Support the event team with light administrative and logistical tasks throughout the day.
- Help maintain a professional and welcoming environment for all guests.
Skills and experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and confident interacting with members of the public.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when required.
- Comfortable standing for periods of time and assisting visitors throughout the building.
Desirable:
- Preference will be given to students who are based at UCL East Marshgate and have a good knowledge of the building layout, facilities, and wayfinding routes, as this will enable them to effectively direct and support event attendees.
