Role

Our prestigious client are looking for a motivated graduate to join their team and play a hands-on role in the development, testing, and continuous improvement of their products.

This is a practical, engineering-focused role within a growing technology business, where you’ll gain exposure to the full product lifecycle, from concept and development through to testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement.

Working days and hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, 1 hour lunch break. 

Office based for 5 days a week

Duties and responsibilities
Research & Development (R&D)

  • Assist in the design, development, and prototyping of new product features and systems
  • Research emerging technologies, components, and integration methods (e.g. AI, telematics, camera systems)
  • Support testing and validation of new hardware and software solutions
  • Document findings and contribute to technical specifications
     

Product Development

  • Support the product lifecycle from concept through to deployment
  • Assist in creating product documentation, wiring diagrams, and installation guides
  • Support integration of third-party technologies (e.g. sensors, cameras, IoT systems)
  • Work with suppliers and development partners where required

Continuous Improvement

  • Analyse performance of existing products and identify improvements
  • Support root cause analysis and troubleshooting of product issues
  • Help refine installation processes, reliability, and user experience
  • Contribute to cost reduction and efficiency initiatives

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Conduct product testing in both controlled and real-world environments
  • Record and report test data to support validation processes
  • Support quality assurance procedures and ongoing standards improvement

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with internal teams including engineering, operations, sales, and support
  • Assist in translating customer requirements into product improvements
  • Participate in technical meetings and product development reviews

Skills and experience

Essential:

  • Degree (or final year) in Engineering, Product Design, Electronics, Automotive Technology, Computer Science, or similar
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Interest in technology, electronics, and innovation
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical information
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Proactive mindset and willingness to learn
  • Full UK driving licence
  •  

Desirable:

  • Basic knowledge of electronics, wiring, or vehicle systems
  • Experience with CAD, prototyping tools, or embedded systems
  • Understanding of telematics, IoT, or AI-based systems
  • Experience from university projects or placements
  • Familiarity with testing methodologies or data analysis
