Only for current MDX students and recent graduates
 
We are seeking an Accommodation Intern to support the day-to-day operations of the accommodation service, gaining valuable experience in housing administration, customer service, and facilities coordination. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in higher education administration, property management, or student services. The intern will work closely with the Resident Life Manager and Senior Accommodation Officer and a range of stakeholders.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Assist with processing accommodation applications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the accommodation management system.
  • Handle correspondence with students, parents, and external providers via email and phone.
  • Act as contact for student enquiries by phone and email.
  • Contribute to ongoing projects such as student satisfaction surveys, process improvement, or digital communication updates.
  • Contributing to our Social Media output and reviewing digital content channels.

Skills and experience

 
Essential
  • Currently studying at Middlesex University.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence to engage students and staff.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to gather, organise, and interpret qualitative feedback.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • A genuine interest in student welfare and the higher education sector.
  • Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
  • Familiarity with student accommodation or property management systems.
  • Experience living in or working with university halls of residence.
