Intern Opportunity - Innovate Surrey Ltd, University of Surrey.
- Preferably PhD students pursuing a PhD in a scientific or engineering discipline. (Desirable)
Innovate Surrey Ltd (ISL) at the University of Surrey is seeking 2–3 motivated individuals, preferably PhD students, to join as interns. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in commercialisation within a university setting. Interns will actively contribute to commercialisation initiatives across the university, supporting the delivery of workshops, creating resources for the academic community, and developing content for commercialisation platforms.
£18.13 per hour.
£2.19 per hour holiday pay.
20–40 hours per week over a 3-month period and will be based on the University of Surrey campus.
To start as soon as possible.
Duties and responsibilities
- Support the Commercialisation Manager in delivering programmes and workshops.
- Maintain websites, ensuring they are kept up to date with relevant and accurate information.
- Help produce media content (e.g. YouTube videos) for commercialisation platforms to enhance visibility and engagement.
Skills and experience
- Proficient in professional communication, both written and in person. (Essential)
- Experience in preparing reports and a high level of written communication skills. (Essential)
- Approachable, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing priorities. (Essential)
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. (Essential)
