Role
Harper Adams is looking to recruit a casual worker to join our Agriculture & Environment Department.
The postholder will work within the Farming Futures Nutrient Management Industrial projects (funded by DEFRA and Innovate UK), investigating the farm-scale removal of phosphorus from cattle slurry to improve sustainable land management (https://www.harper-adams.ac.uk/news/205735/harper-adams-teams-up-with-industry-to-investigate-the-recovery-of-fertiliser-nutrients-from-farm-slurry ; https://elentecbioag.com/).
The casual worker will work alongside Professor Simon Jeffery and Drs Ana Morais Natalio and Marie Kirby at HAU and the project’s industrial partners, elentecBio Ltd, Merigan Ltd, School of Sustainable Food and Farming, Stoic Options and Mastek.
Duties and responsibilities
This research project will test and evaluate elentecBio’s novel electrocoagulation technology and run associated glasshouse trials of the recovered nutrients. The postholder will be integral to the delivery of the project, undertaking the glasshouse trials, analysing laboratory samples and aiding with the general daily operations as required.
