Role
Two/three internships are available over a period of 18 weeks during the summer of 2024, to take a lead role in the CLOCK in Kent Community Legal Companion project which operates a Help Desk at the Canterbury Law Court for those members of the local community who come to court unrepresented.

Duties and responsibilities
The purpose of the role is to lead staffing of the CLOCK court help desk at Canterbury Combined Court. The main duties include helping service users with paperwork, filling/sorting/collating papers/interpreting, and supporting service users at hearings on McKenzie Friend principles (taking notes), as well as signposting service users to partner providers.

Skills and experience
Applicants must be a trained and experienced Community Legal Companion who has completed at least 12 hours of Help Desk Companionship. This is key criteria - applications from applicants who are not trained Community Legal Companions will not be considered.
