Unitemps are recruiting for multiple (50 + 10 reserves) Open Days 2026 Student Ambassador. This role is suitable for UCL Students and UCL Graduates Only. This role is for specific dates starting June until the end of June, possibly mid July; the exact working dates are stated below in the advert. Payment is set at £14.85 per hour + £2.78 holiday pay. This role will be campus based working on the Bloomsbury Campus with an 1 hour online training session before the working dates.
We are really looking forward to this year's in-person UCL Undergraduate Open Days which are taking place on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 June 2026.
Each year, thousands of prospective students and their families, friends and carers come to visit UCL to help figure out if UCL is a university they would like to apply to. We couldn't deliver the Open Days without our Student Ambassadors, and so we are reaching out to you to ask for your availability to support us on either or both of the days.
Shifts will run each day from 08:00 - 16:30, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. Role responsibilities will vary, and all Ambassadors will be expected to attend mandatory online training where we will run through our plans and expectations, and you can ask us any questions that you may have.
You will be paid via Unitemps and must complete necessary RTW checks prior to working the Open Days. The Student Ambassador pay rate will be grade 3 spinal point 8 (£14.85 per hour plus £2.78 holiday pay). You will be paid for the mandatory online training session (w/c 15 June) as well as your allocated shifts.
We will finalise the rota and send this out to you before the training session. Please note that you are not guaranteed to be given the shifts you express your availability for.

Duties and responsibilities
Role responsibilities will vary but will include:
- helping visitors find their way around campus,
- supporting in queue management,
- supporting Open Days staff with delivery of the event,
- using a clicker to count visitors into sessions, and more.
Skills and experience
We are looking for hard-working, passionate and helpful UCL students and recent UCL graduates to support with our Open Days and to represent UCL to prospective students.
(Previous Open Day/Ambassador experience is a bonus but not necessary)
Must be available for the below dates:
Online Training:
- 1 hour, week commencing June 15th
Working Days on Bloomsbury Campus:
- Friday June 26th, 08:00 - 16:30, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break
- Saturday June 27th 08:00 - 16:30, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break
