Role
Unitemps are currently working with Glitterbels, who are a UK-based professional nail products and training company.
They are looking for a skilled and motivated Web Developer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining responsive and user-friendly websites and web applications. You will work closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality digital solutions.
The hourly rate for this position is £14.50 + £1.75 Holiday Pay.
The duration of this project is roughly 1-2 months.
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop and maintain websites and web applications
- Write clean, scalable, and efficient code
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement responsive designs
- Optimise applications for speed, performance, and SEO
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
- Integrate APIs and third-party services
- Ensure cross-browser and mobile compatibility
- Participate in code reviews and technical planning
- Maintain website security and data protection standards
- Stay up to date with emerging web technologies and industry trends
Skills and experience
- Proven experience as a Web Developer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of:
- HTML5
- CSS3 / SCSS
- JavaScript / TypeScript
- Experience with modern frameworks such as:
- React
- Vue.js
- Angular
- Familiarity with backend technologies such as:
- Node.js
- PHP
- Python
- .NET
- Knowledge of web performance optimisation techniques
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity best practices
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Self-motivated and eager to learn
- Studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
