Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a social media assistant to join the Unitemps team at the University of Salford.
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop diverse content: Produce written pieces like blog posts, social media captions, and website copy, alongside visual content such as graphics and videos.
- Maintain a content calendar: Schedule and manage the publication of content to ensure a consistent flow of engaging material.
- Ensure brand consistency: Collaborate with marketing and design teams to create content that aligns with brand guidelines and messaging.
- Update existing content: Review and update older content to maintain relevance, accuracy, and ensure it adheres to current best practices.
- Research industry trends: Stay informed about the latest developments and trends in the recruitment industry and digital content creation.
- Understand the audience: Conduct audience research to identify their needs and preferences, using these insights to create relevant and impactful content.
- Keyword research and SEO: Implement SEO best practices, including keyword research, to optimize content for search engines and increase organic reach and visibility.
- Ideation: Brainstorm new and creative content ideas and suggest innovative platforms or strategies to reach target audiences
Skills and experience
- It’s essential that you can create engaging content that engages a wide variety of audiences.
- Ideally you will have experience of using LinkedIn and Instagram – although not essential
- Be flexible with your work times as we will need multiple posts being shared throughout the week.
- Ideally you will be able to work on your own initiative. We are looking for a creative individual who can bring some fresh ideas and content to the fore.
