Role
The role of a brand ambassador is to raise awareness of the University of Nottingham Sport brand and health and wellbeing offer amongst fellow students. It’s a fantastic opportunity to gain real marketing and communications experience and contribute to the ambitious vision of the UoN Sport department.
Start Date: 1/09/2026
End Date:31/12/2026
Working Hours: To be determined by the Hiring Manager
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Holiday Pay Rate: £1.53 per hour
Location: David Ross Sports Village, University Park, University of Nottingham
Dress Code: Smart Casual
Duties and responsibilities
- Help shape marketing campaigns targeted to students.
- Maximise personal connections to drive awareness of the UoN Sport offer, including UoN sport and fitness membership,
- Active Living and our retail range.Create original, engaging and relevant digital content for students showcasing our offer, e.g. vlogs, social takeovers.
- Create original, engaging and relevant digital match day content at key sporting events for the department, e.g. Varsity, Headliner and BUCS Big Wednesday.
- Create original, engaging and relevant digital content to support activations with key partners and sponsors.
- Provide additional capacity at key department events such as Open Days and Welcome.
Skills and experience
- Candidates must be studying at the University of Nottingham for the full 2026/27 academic year. (Essential)
- Passionate about sport, fitness and staying active at university. (Essential)
- Strong knowledge of University of Nottingham Sport offer and programmes. (Essential)
- Voluntary or paid experience of promoting events or campaigns via social media, either personally or for an organisation. (Essential)
- Strong collaborator with the ability to work independently (Essential) - Well organised with effective time management skills (Essential)
- Photography and video editing skills (Desirable)
