Role
Part of the Marketing, Admissions, Recruitment and Communications (MARC) Directorate, the Admissions Department, is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic candidate to join the undergraduate admissions team on a short term contract, providing additional support to the team across key business processes.

 
Admissions focuses upon providing welcoming, supportive and informative experience for every applicant. We work closely with colleagues across the University to offer clear advice, answer questions and guide students through each step of their application journey in preparation to joining the CCCU community.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming enquiries via telephone, and email, ensuring applicants’ details are accurately recorded and their enquiry is referred to the appropriate academic or Admissions colleague.
  • Manage all enquiries in a timely, professional and supportive manner, ensuring applicants receive clear, accurate and helpful responses.
  • Support the confirmation of student offers, assisting applicants through the next stages of the admissions process.
  • Assist with the preparation of qualifications as part of the registration and enrolment process.
  • Maintain high standards of data accuracy and record-keeping to support University reporting requirements and UKVI compliance.

Skills and experience
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated team player with excellent customer service skills, who can contribute positively to the wider team while also working confidently on their own initiative. A high level of attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential, alongside the ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge of University and sector-specific procedures, structures and regulatory requirements.

 
The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, able to manage pressure effectively while maintaining a professional, courteous and friendly approach with applicants and colleagues at all times.
