Role
*Ringfenced to LJMU International Graduates ONLY*
Supporting the international recruitment strategy for the university, this role will involve administrative tasks relating to the communication and conversion of international students.
The successful candidate will be able to develop their skills across project management and have an influence on the international student’s journey. As a training and development opportunity all work will be carried out under guidance of the International Recruitment Team.
Duties and responsibilities
- Follow up of international enquirers via multi-channel communications
- Work with International applicants and offer holders to maximize enrollment at LJMU via telephone, email, LJMU Applicant app and webinar
- Act as main point of contact for both students and internal stakeholders, ensuring safe and smooth transition
- Manage day to day student enquiries and only airport requests by monitoring the relevant CRM email
- Support the team of International Student Ambassadors
- Support the organisation and delivery of international welcome
- Effectively plan, implement and deliver agreed actions
- Other duties as requested by the Head of International Recruitment, commensurate with the Grade

- Some evening and weekend work might be required, for which the post holder will receive time in lieu
Skills and experience
- International graduate
- Work experience from an office environment or similar• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook
- Good standard of literacy and numeracy with good written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to work flexibly
- Must have a positive can do attitude
- Works well under pressure whilst remaining calm
- Must be able to work well as part of a small team
- Able to work on own initiative
- Flexibility to take on varied workloads and work outside of normal working hours
- Cross cultural sensitivity
