Within Student Recruitment Marketing and Admissions, you will assist the Outreach Team in the delivery of a range of student recruitment and widening access initiatives within LJMU’s network of contacts in schools and colleges both regionally and nationally. Additionally, you will promote LJMU at appropriate Higher Education Fairs across the UK.
 
This internship is an opportunity for education and career development and involves working under the strict guidance of an LJMU member of staff.

Involving hybrid working, but mainly based in Exchange Station, Tithebarn Street, Liverpool. Staff may be asked to work in any location within the University and the role will entail much off campus work in schools and colleges and other venues across Great Britain and Northern Ireland. 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of on and off campus based visits for high school and college students within LJMU’s network of schools and colleges.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of campus based school visits for students within LJMU’s network of schools and colleges.
  • Respond to email enquiries using the MS Dynamics CRM system. Also use CRM to update and maintain accurate customer records to enable promotional activities such as mailouts/newsletters etc.
  • Promote LJMU at school and college based HE Fairs, Careers Conventions and information evenings both regionally and nationally.
  • Deliver presentations and workshops to potential students throughout LJMU’s network of schools and colleges.
  • Represent LJMU at community events organised by the outreach team.
  • Represent LJMU at UCAS and other Higher Education Conventions, both locally and nationally.
  • Help co-ordinate and supervise a group of student advocates to assist with outreach activity.
  • Assist the Schools & Colleges Account Managers in their research and development of resources for a range of presentations and activities appropriate for the target audience.
  • Supporting Account Managers with the co-ordination and administration of large-scale events such as Summer Schools.
  • Manage the outreach team’s social media channels promoting the team’s activity. Platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram and continuously monitor and update the Outreach webpage.
  • Support Account Managers in making preparations for on campus and off campus events, including making relevant bookings and organising necessary stock and promotional collateral.

 

Other duties

 

  • Represent the team at internal and external meetings or conferences as deemed necessary by the outreach manager.
  • To support the wider team during the busy mid-August Clearing period .
  • Any other duties commensurate with the grade as deemed appropriate by your line manager.
