Role

Unitemps are acting as an Employment Business, supplying temporary workers, in relation to this vacancy.
 
To produce engaging visual content for the Official Students’ Union social media channels and website. This includes event attendance, editing, working to briefs and building a bank of images and videos to be used for promotional purposes within UoNSU.
 
Start Date: 14th September
Date: 3 weeks
Working Hours: Discuss with hiring Manager 
Pay Rate: £12.71 Plus 12.07% holiday pay
Location: Nottingham, University Park

Duties and responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications and Social Media team to execute content strategies and capture events and campaigns to be included on SU social media channels and website
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and algorithm updates on TikTok and Instagram
  • Assist with content shoots at events and activities, including planning, filming and capturing behind-the-scenes footage, ensuring high-quality output.
  • Edit video footage using Lightroom, Premiere Pro or similar editing tools.
  • Plan and follow briefs from the Marketing & Communications Team for event days and promotional shoots
  • Present edited content with provided turnaround times to meet the needs of Marketing & Communications Team
  • Use your own creative vision to capture content that fit with the Students’ Union image

 

Skills and experience

  • Experience with and be active on a variety of social media platforms; Instagram and TikTok
  • Photography experience and/or Videography experience – including recording and editing of footage
  • Experience of editing content using professional software e.g. Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships quickly
  • Innovative, with an ability to use own initiative to problem solve and improve efficiency in performance
  • Knowledge of what students want to see their SU posting online
  • Networking skills · Understanding of lighting, composition, audio and editing
