Role
Unitemps are acting as an Employment Business, supplying temporary workers, in relation to this vacancy.
This role will be to support in the promotion, administration and facilitation of student forums, represent student interests by attending university meetings, support in the promotion and facilitation of student change making activities such as campaigning, support the work of full-time officers, and contribute to outreach and research projects focusing on student experiences.
Start Date: August/September
End Date: Ongoing while UON student
Working Hours: Discuss with hiring Manager
Pay Rate: £12.71 Plus 12.07% holiday pay
Location: Nottingham, University Park

Duties and responsibilities
- Support in the planning, delivery, and facilitation of academic and community forums to gather feedback on student experiences, ensuring discussions are inclusive, productive, and reflective of the diversity of the student body.
- Compile and summarize student feedback to present actionable insights to relevant stakeholders.
- Attend university committees and meetings as needed, including representing student views on academic policies and procedures.
- Engage with the wider student body to gather data on student experiences and perspectives relating to community, academia, liberation, and welfare.
- Support research projects on student experiences, identifying trends, and challenges surrounding student experiences.
- Collaborate with university departments and stakeholders to promote initiatives that improve academic outcomes.
- Support in the facilitation of student campaigning and change making activities that seek to improve students’ experiences in areas related to wellbeing, community, education, and liberation.
- Maintain a friendly, non-judgmental, and approachable attitude.
- Attend staff meetings as required.
Skills and experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence in facilitating group discussions and managing diverse opinions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including students, Students Union staff and University staff members.
- Communication skills, including development of reports and presentations.
