Role
We are looking for Bar Team Leaders who are fun, enthusiastic, passionate people to join our hard-working teams at Wetherspoons.
£13.78 per hour.
£1.66 per hour holiday pay.

Duties and responsibilities
- To support, lead and motivate the team of bar staff to meet sales, profit and compliance targets.
- To provide excellent customer service.
- Serving food and drinks to the correct specification
- Adhering to all of Wetherspoon’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies, to maintain a clean, safe and legal workplace.
- Be aware of, and knowledgeable about, promotions, events and new products in the pub. Share your knowledge with the team to ensure that all associates are kept up to date.

Skills and experience
Essential
GCSE level (numeracy and literacy) or equivalent vocational qualifications, plus some relevant work experience or several years’ experience within a similar role.
Basic IT and AV (audiovisual) knowledge.
To work a shift system covering 5 out of 7 days.
Desirable
Previous experience of working in a kitchen or pub environment.
Planning and Organising
- Can manage time and prioritise tasks, to ensure that each shift runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Be honest, trustworthy and respectful.
- Remain calm when working in a fast-paced environment.
- Stand back and look (SBAL) to ensure that bar, floor, glass wash and customer areas are set up throughout the day to meet the needs of the business.
Problem Solving and Decision Making
- Receive and deliver customers’ orders, either face to face or via the app, always achieving our service standards.
- Respond to customers’ feedback in a positive and helpful manner, seeking support, if required. Feedback any complaints to the management team.

Accountability
- Assist in managing stock levels by coaching the team, minimising wastage and monitoring the correct pouring and dispensing of products.
- Assist in receiving deliveries, in line with Wetherspoon’s policies, reporting any anomalies to the manager.
- Make the working environment safe, legal and comfortable, by adhering to and enforcing:
- standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- age verification policy (including Challenge 21/25).
- prevention of drunkenness and disorderly behaviour policy (Don’t do Drunk).
- stock management procedures.
