Working Hours: Average of 2 per week in term time - 48 hours in total over the year
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Holiday Pay Rate: £1.53 per hour
Location: Remote/University Campus
Dress Code: Smart CasualDuties and responsibilities
- To attend a regular in person short team meeting to agree targets and output.
- To create social media content regarding key information and facilities at the University according to a schedule.
- To liaise with student societies and course reps to ensure that messages are shared across as many platforms as possible.
- To support student focused events, such as mental health day.
- To work with the ESE team to develop ideas to increase engagement and spread awareness of university initiatives, such as Black History Month, LGBT+ month, Disability Awareness Month according to the calendar, as well as Access and Participation projects, such as GRIT and Writing Cafes.
- To contribute blogs to the ESE bulletins.
- To work with School ESE teams to support School based projects and initiatives.
- Any other duties appropriate to the role as the year develops.
Skills and experience
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to produce high quality, accessible social media video based content.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of people.
- Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in a team and on own initiative.
- Knowledge of the university structure and key student focused teams.
