Role

Rely on Fire Check is an independent consultancy providing specialist fire safety system design and verification services to clients across the United Kingdom. We work with a wide range of organisations within the fire and life safety sector, delivering compliant and high-quality solutions.

As a growing SME with an expanding service offering, we are looking to appoint a temporary Graphic Designer to help shape how we present ourselves, both to our clients and within our own training and consultancy work. You will refine our visual identity and produce a broad range of design assets across marketing, training and client-facing communications.

We're looking for a creative and motivated Graphic Designer to join us on a temporary basis and help develop the visual side of our growing business. Working closely with the Directors and wider team, you'll produce a variety of design work across digital and print, helping us communicate clearly and consistently with our clients.

This role is a great fit for a design student or recent graduate looking for hands-on experience in a real commercial environment. You'll get genuine ownership of projects, the chance to build a strong portfolio of professional work, and the opportunity to see your designs used across the business.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Marketing materials - brochures, case studies and client-facing collateral.
  • Training graphics and materials - workbooks, handouts, diagrams and visual explainers.
  • Web-based materials - website graphics, banners and digital campaign assets.
  • Presentation assets - branded slide templates and bespoke decks.
  • Social post assets - Linkedin graphics and reusable social templates.
  • Email campaign assets - templates, headers and supporting graphics.

Skills and experience

Essential

  • Currently studying or recently graduated in Graphic Design or a related discipline.
  • A portfolio (in any format) showing a range of design work across digital and print.
  • Good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) and PowerPoint.
  • Good layout and typography skills.
  • Attention to detail and a consistent approach to brand.
  • Well organised, with the ability to manage multiple briefs and meet deadlines.
  • Confident communicator, comfortable asking questions and sharing ideas.

Desirable

  • Experience with PowerPoint template design.
  • Understanding of print production processes and pre-press requirements.
  • Experience with motion graphics or basic After Effects.
  • Experience designing for B2B, technical or professional services.
  • Photography or illustration skills.

Personal Attributes

  • Creative and enthusiastic with a willingness to learn about the industry.
  • Proactive, curious and solutions focused.
  • Open to feedback and able to iterate quickly.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of projects.
