Role
This role is an exciting opportunity for you if you’re interested in gaining insight into how a university operates behind the scenes and how Faculty teams support students and academic staff. 

 
You’ll work closely with the Faculty Operations team, supporting a range of activities that keep the faculty running smoothly. This will include helping to coordinate meetings, supporting key processes, and contributing to projects that improve how we support students as a university. You will gain experience in administration and organisation, whilst working closely with senior stakeholders. 
 
This role is designed to give you a real taste of working in a busy and collaborative environment. You will build transferable skills such as time management, problem-solving, and professional communication, and you’ll be supported to take initiative and contribute your own ideas. 
 
Our ideal candidate is organised, curious, and keen to learn. You do not need to have held a similar role before, as we are looking for someone who is proactive, reliable, and interested in developing their skills in a professional setting. 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Support the faculty leadership team with any key projects or workstreams 

  • Shadow Faculty Operations colleagues to build up an understanding of how the university operates 

  • Network with colleagues from different departments 

  • Organise OneDrive and Teams filing systems 

  • Shadow Faculty Operations Manager and attend meetings 

  • Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documentation 

  • Contribute to operational readiness measures 

  • Undertake any other reasonable duties in line with the nature and level of the role

Skills and experience
Essential 

  • Interested in how a university operates 

  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines  

  • Experience with MS Suite 

  • Comfortable working in a self-directed way as well as part of the team 

Desirable 

  • Experience working with data to make informed decisions 

  • Experience working with senior stakeholders 

Location
In-person only (Hendon campus or business office)
