Role
Duties and responsibilities
Research, review and curate student-facing support resources across areas such as:
- Wellbeing and mental health (psychoeducational content)
- Academic skills and study support
- Disability and inclusion support
- Student finance, housing, and practical guidance
Develop clear and accessible “how-to” guides for students (e.g. registering with a GP, applying for support such as DSA, understanding university processes).
Support the design and development of content for embedded wellbeing or student success workshops, working closely with our Student Engagement Team.
Review existing materials and suggest improvements to ensure they are student-friendly, inclusive, and easy to navigate.
Assist in collecting and analysing anonymised student feedback (e.g. surveys or engagement data) to identify key themes and areas for improvement.
Work collaboratively with different teams within Student Success & Support to ensure content is accurate and aligned.
Present findings, ideas, or outputs to the team at key points during the internship.
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and reflective learning activities.
Skills and experience
Essential
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to explain information clearly and simply
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Interest in student wellbeing, inclusion, or student support services
- Attention to detail and ability to review and improve written content
- Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Desirable
- Experience creating content (e.g. guides, blogs, social media, or presentations)
- Interest in education, psychology, wellbeing, or social policy
- Basic understanding of student support services (e.g. finance, wellbeing, disability support)
- Experience gathering or interpreting feedback or data
Location
Hendon campus (hybrid working may be considered)
