Role
*Ringfenced to LJMU students and graduates (within the last 2 years) ONLY*

 
LJMU Library is looking to produce a short film / graphic animation (2-3 minutes) to promote our Academic Success services. This film will create an animation based on quotes from student feedback and may also involve filming of LJMU staff and spaces. 
 
We propose the project will run for 6 weeks from the beginning of June to mid-July and we’d like to recruit 2 x student filmmakers, paying a flat fee of £400 each for work on this project.

Duties and responsibilities

The production crew will be required to create animated content based on quotes from student feedback, they may also be asked to film (i) establishing Shots and General Views (interior and exterior) of Mount Pleasant Campus Library and City Campus Library and (ii) filmed interviews of key personnel. 

Deliverables: Any new footage (High Resolution Master) will be uploaded to the Library's LIFT! Teams Sharepoint account. The final film will also be uploaded to this account in two formats: (i) High Resolution Master – a version formatted for broadcast (ii) 4K Resolution Web-Ready – a version formatted for online use such as Vimeo, YouTube, Facebook and dissemination on Social Media.

Skills and experience

  • Experience of creating short films, including animated graphics, filming interviewees, objects, and spaces, and post production editing
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Track record of delivering agreed outputs within agreed timescales
