Role
*Ringfenced to ALL LJMU Graduates (within the last 2 years)*
This role is to support student recruitment and conversion of undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes for Liverpool Business School. The role reports directly to the Recruitment Marketing Manager of Liverpool Business School and the School of Law & Justice Studies
Duties and responsibilities
Duties:
- To support the Marketing Manager for Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate Taught (PGT) student recruitment and conversion marketing
- To capture student experience content (video / audio / written) at UG and PGT level. This could be field trips, guest lectures, short and long term placements, networking events, graduation, freshers week, JMSU society events, open day and applicant day events, campus tours, alumni events / stories and graduation
- To produce and edit (under the supervision and guidance of the Marketing Manager) video, audio and written student experience content
- To research and monitor competitor Higher Education Institute (HEI) social platforms
- To research and monitor competitor HEI advertising (sponsored ads) across social platforms
- To post content across Liverpool Business School’s social platforms – Instagram and Linked In - as guided and supervised by Marketing Manager
- To reach out to academics and students for future content, scheduling dates, times and location for filming
- To work with other digital content creators across LJMU on Instagram collab posts - seeking guidance and joining the support network they offer
- To work outside of normal office hours on occasion – including evenings and weekend work (hours can be claimed back as time off in lieu).To work on campus and off site, on location, as the content dictates
- To research any current students who have potential influencer status
- To spot trends and innovations in content creation and any new social platform updates
- To update the content planner and scheduling app (Trello)
Skills and experience
- Experience of content creation in a college/university setting
- Experience of working on social media accounts of a college/university
- Strong communications skills
- Experience of phone camera filming and editing within the specifications required of various social media accounts.
- Experience of interviewing people
- Confidence when interviewing / speaking with staff and students
You will be responsible for an iPhone 15 Pro complete with CapCut Pro app. This is your only equipment for filming. You will have access to loan laptops if needed. There is no dedicated desk space within LJMU for this role but as a temporary member of staff you will have access to all PCs on campus.
