Description

Role
*Ringfenced to current LJMU International Students*

Student Futures is LJMU’s Careers, Employability and Start-Up team. We run a wide range of activities throughout the year for both students and graduates, including recruitment fairs and employer talks, careers events and workshops, and 1-2-1 meetings. To help us continue to develop and improve our services for particular student groups, we collaborate with co-creation interns, who provide feedback on service development and create new student-focused resources. To support our current co-creation internship with international students, we are looking for international students from programmes across LJMU to participate in a 90-minute focus group to contribute your ‘student voice’ to the project and inform our next steps.

We will be hosting between 8-10 students per focus group and asking your opinions and thoughts on questions to help us improve our service and support for international students. You do not need any prior experience in focus groups, and we welcome students from all degree programmes and years of study. Focus Group One will be held in the Student Life Building on Thursday, 7th May 2026 from 3.00 to 4.30pm. Focus Group Two will be held in the Student Life Building on Tuesday, 12th May 2026 from 3.00pm to 4.30pm. Please indicate on your application if you are free to attend one or both dates of the focus groups – successful candidates will only need to attend one, but knowing applicants’ availability will be helpful for our planning.
