Role
The Warwick International Higher Education Academy (WIHEA) is a vibrant community dedicated to advancing learning and teaching excellence. Our inclusive community welcomes students, academic staff, and professional services staff who share a commitment to educational enhancement.
This role is to provide much needed project support to assist with sharing outcomes and outputs from across the WIHEA community. The role will be responsible for co-ordinating the design and production of a number of posters and other resources to share information on WIHEA Fellows/Alumni, funded projects and Learning Circles.
This will involve planning a schedule of tasks which will include; setting timescales/deadlines, designing a range of poster templates, communicating with project and Learning Circle leads (may involve short online meetings to advise leads of the requirements), collating information and pictures, designing the layout and content of each poster and responsible for the quality control, production and printing.
This post is open to University of Warwick Students only.
Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for planning, designing and producing approximately 30 Posters aimed at disseminating outcomes and outputs from WIHEA funded projects and Learning Circles.
- Work with WIHEA Fellows and Alumni (staff and students) to capture, raise awareness and develop posters/resources to share good teaching practice and their achievements in learning and teaching. This may involve arranging/carrying out online meetings to obtain information and input into the design and content.
- Co-ordinate the design and production of the posters/resources to keep within a timeline and ensuring quality control is monitored throughout.
- Assist with curating a diverse range of associated resources and ad hoc administrative tasks to support the dissemination of the posters and WIHEA’s Annual Report.
Skills and experience
- Experienced in creating posters or visual resources and using media/editing software, such as Canva and/or other design software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience of gathering information, writing case studies or creating engaging content.
- Experience of copy writing/proof reading or tasks that have required significant attention to detail and the curation of compelling accurate content.
- Experience of building trust and effective working relationships with individuals from across a wide range of stakeholder groups.
- Strong project and time management skills and an ability to manage priorities.
- Ability to understand a range of higher education matters.
- Understanding of communication principles, branding and online corporate identity.
- Excellent interpersonal and team working skills.
