Role
Unitemps are acting as an Employment Business, supplying temporary workers, in relation to this vacancy.
This role will play a key part in helping to support and deliver events, promote our events programme activities including freshers, varsity and grad ball to new and existing students. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, gain valuable experience and be a part of an exciting team.
Start Date: 27/04/26
End Date: End of August
Working Hours: To be agreed
Pay Rate: £12.71 an hour

Duties and responsibilities
Representing the Students’ Union at events
Supporting Students’ Union staff with the delivery of events and activities which includes but is not limited to:
- Carrying out tasks as delegated by UoNSU staff
- Supporting the delivery of large-scale events
- Supporting the promotion of events
- Lead the delivery of small-scale events
- Enabling students to make friends and have a good time
- Assisting with the setting up and taking down of event/activities.
- Ticket entry scanning
- Supporting students to make friends and have a good time.
- Providing welfare support to students at events and activities
- Signposting students to the relevant services when required
Skills and experience
- Experience of working as part of a team
- Experience of supporting and/or delivering events and activities
- Knowledge of the Students’ Union, University and different campuses
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Creative and innovative approach to problem solving
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to multi-task with strong organisational skills
- Able to motivate and engage others
- A commitment to Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Fairness
- Through your work and approach, you identify with the organisational values of: equitable, empowering, brave, responsible, and collaborative

Assessment Sessions:
- Thursday 14th May either 10:30 – 12:30 or 14:00 – 16:00
- Friday 15th May either 10:30 – 12:30 or 14:00 – 16:00
Training:
There will be a compulsory online module that you will need to complete before commencing work for UoNSU. Further in person training will be offered once online training has been completed
