Role
Van Driver/Loader to support staff and students in the logistics of a graduate exhibition in Islington, London taking place in June/July 2026.
Duties and responsibilities
The successful candidate will be required to work on the following dates and times:
29/6/26
- 12:00 – 14:00 Collect and inspect van from hire company.
- 14:00 – 16:00 Support staff and students to safely load all items into the van on the College Road Campus, University of Staffordshire.
- Ensure van is safely parked on-campus.
30/6/26
- 06:00 – Drive to Business Design Centre, London (N1 0QH) (157 miles).
- 10:30 – Support staff and students to safely unload all items from the van in the loading bay at the Business Design Centre.
- 12:30 – 17:00 Return van to Stoke-on-Trent and ensure van is safely parked on-campus.
4/7/26
- 09:00 Drive to Business Design Centre, London (N1 0QH) (157 miles).
- 17:00 – 22:00 Return van to Stoke-on-Trent and ensure van is safely parked on-campus.
6/7/26
- 12:00 – Support staff and students to safely unload all items from the van on campus.
- 14:00 – Return van to hire company.
Skills and experience
- Some experience in safe and efficient van driving, with a clean driving record.
- Ability to load, unload, and handle goods securely, including heavy or bulky items, while following manual handling and health & safety guidelines.
- Strong time management skills, ensuring punctual deliveries and professional interaction with all team members.
