Project background

Unspoken — A Theatre Drama on Postpartum Depression

We Hold a Hand presents "Unspoken" — a short theatre drama shining a light on postpartum depression within African and Caribbean communities.

Through honest, powerful storytelling, the performance explores the emotional realities many mothers face in silence, shaped by cultural expectations, stigma, and lack of awareness.

Designed for students and lecturers, this event aims to educate the next generation before they enter parenthood, building empathy, recognition, and the courage to seek mental health support before crisis hits.
