Description

Role

You will be part of a campaign team of callers who will be contacting Warwick Business School finalists (students in their final year of study) and/or alumni (former students) to ask them about their intended/actual plans after graduation. The aim of the project is to encourage our finalists and graduates to complete an online form to share their updated contact and details of employment/further study.

The data collected will be used by various teams across WBS, including within our CareersPlus & Employer Relations and Marketing teams – please note the Information Assistant role will not involve analysing the data collected during the campaign.

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Contact students/alumni individually via telephone/instant messaging apps e.g. WeChat, WhatsApp, LinkedIn
  • Accurately record the responses of each individual on a written form in English during or immediately after the conversation has taken place
  • Transfer data from these individual responses onto an Excel spreadsheet
  • A mobile phone and a laptop will be provided, with full training and guidance given.

Skills and experience

Essential:

  • Excellent problem- solving skills, with an ability to self-direct work when required.
  • Confident communicating in written and spoken English, able to engage in a friendly manner when speaking to a variety of people both on the telephone and via email/instant message
  • Excellent organisational skills, and motivated to achieve personal and team goals.
  • An understanding of the need for confidentiality and discretion when handling personal information.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and LinkedIn would be an advantage.
  • Prior experience working on a telephone calling campaign / alumni contact campaign
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English

Location
This role will be based either fully or mainly on campus (TBC).

  • Predicted interview date - Monday 27th April / Wednesday 29th April
  • Start and end date: Thursday 28th May – Saturday 25th July 2026 - In person training at Warwick Business School on Thursday 28th May.
