Description

Role
Support the delivery of sporting events and tournaments, ensuring they run smoothly and safely. The role also involves maintaining high standards across sports facilities, delivering excellent customer service, carrying out health and safety checks, and assisting with the day-to-day operations of both indoor and outdoor environments. Working as part of a team, you will help create a safe, welcoming, and well-organised experience for all users.

 

Start Date: 4/5/26

End Date: 31/5/27

Working Hours: To be arranged with the hiring manager

Pay Rate: £12.78 per hour

Holiday Pay Rate: £1.54 per hour

Location: Highfields Sports Complex, Beeston, Nottingham NG7 2PS

Dress Code: Smart Casual  

Duties and responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of sporting events and tournaments.
  • Carry out regular health and safety checks across sports facilities.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, staff and visitors.
  • Support the day-to-day operation of indoor and outdoor sports facilities.
  • Maintain clean, safe and welcoming environments across all areas.
  • Respond to incidents and provide first aid when required.Assist with facility opening, closing and general operational duties.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure smooth delivery of sports services.

Skills and experience

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good awareness of health and safety practices.
  • Ability to respond calmly and confidently to incidents.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexible and proactive approach to work.
