Role
*Ringfenced to LJMU students*This role forms part of the 'OurLJMU Co‑Creation Charter project' a Diversity & Inclusion–funded initiative exploring how students and staff can work together to shape the student experience. You will join a collaborative team spanning academic staff, professional services and the Students’ Union, helping to broaden student participation in the project across the university. The role is highly people‑focused and ideal for students interested in community building, inclusion, student voice and engagement.
Duties and responsibilities
Main Duties:• Carry out outreach to students across LJMU, including groups who do not typically engage.• Promote workshops, focus groups and digital engagement opportunities.• Support co‑creation workshops (setup, facilitation assistance, note‑taking).• Gather student insights through conversations, pop‑ups and digital interactions.• Assist with digital engagement using Canvas, Teams, polls and social content.• Summarise student perspectives to support the development of the Co‑Creation Charter.• Contribute ideas to improve inclusion, engagement and the accessibility of project activities.
Skills and experience
Essential:• Approachable and confident communicator
• Comfortable engaging with diverse and unfamiliar student groups
• Reliable, well‑organised and able to work flexibly
• Digitally confident (Teams, Canvas, polls, social platforms)
• Interest in student experience, inclusion or community engagement
Desirable:
• Experience in societies, SU roles, mentoring or peer networks
• Connected to at least one student community
• Experience running events, outreach or engagement activities
• Ability to summarise group feedback objectively
