Role
Working within an educations setting , you will support with all areas of recruitment administration, acting as a main point of contact for initial enquiries and supporting candidates through the recruitment journey. You will provide support across all the advertisement, selection and on-boarding processes, providing an efficient, professional and supportive experience for all candidates and new starters.

Duties and responsibilities
Act as a first point of contact for initial enquiries and assistance for recruitment agencies and candidates throughout the recruitment process, resolving queries immediately or escalating to a member of the HR Team as necessary 

• Administer documentation relating to the recruitment process, including printing of application forms and inputting of candidate information onto the HR tracker 
• Review application forms for completeness, highlighting areas of incomplete and missing information in line with safer recruitment practices 
• Contact candidates with request for further information in support of their applications, ensuring that outstanding information is received in a timely manner ready for the shortlisting process
• Work closely with the Recruitment Advisor to share suitable candidates and compile shortlisting documents where required • Manage outlook calendars, setting up room bookings for interviews and assessments and maintain the weekly interview schedule • Prepare and distribute interview invites to candidates, recruitment agencies and interview panel members ensuring all necessary information and documents are included 
• Distribute Criminal Records Declarations to candidates/recruitment agencies and ensure these are completed and returned prior to interview or assessment days 
• Compile interview packs, ensuring all relevant information is included and HR team members are briefed, if necessary, on any exceptional requirements 
• Welcome candidates attending interviews or assessments and complete necessary ID checks inline with Safer Recruitment practices 
• Support the Recruitment Advisor and wider HR Team with the coordination and attendance of interviews and the assessment processes as needed
 • Under the direction of the Recruitment Advisor, support with maintaining advertisement for vacant roles, ensuring adverts are up to date and appealing to prospective candidates 
• Draft offer paperwork for successful candidates and send out once finalised and signed
 • Lead on the referencing process, seeking and obtaining references for applicants and new starters in a timely way and support with obtaining other pre-employment checks as requested
• Undertake new starter check-in meetings and ensure feedback from these is shared with the wider HR Team 
• Compile induction packs for new starters and support with running first day HR inductions as necessary 
• Adhere to all policies, guidance and legislation in relation to safer recruitment practices and Keeping Children Safe in Education • Undertake any other general administrative duties in support of the Recruitment and HR Team

Skills and experience
Good general education, to A level or equivalent, with minimum GCSE C/4 or equivalent in English and Maths 

• Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within an HR or recruitment setting. 
Experience in an education or social care setting an advantage 
• Strong administration skills, accuracy and attention to detail; ability to manage time and prioritise effectively to meet departmental and organisation needs 
• Highly organised and confident communicator, able to build effective relationships at all levels 
• Excellent verbal, written and numeracy skills 
• Strong IT skills, proficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel packages. 
Experienced in working with HR packages /databases is an advantage 
• Proven ability to work independently and on own initiative within specified guidelines or processes
