Role
We are seeking 4 x Graduation Documentation Assistants to support the delivery of high quality graduation services within Student and Academic Services at the University of Leicester. This role focuses on the accurate preparation and dispatch of certificates and transcripts ahead of the July Graduation Ceremonies, contributing to a smooth and efficient experience for graduates and stakeholders.
The position involves working on campus as part of a small, dedicated team responsible for essential graduation operations. Due to the nature of the work, applications cannot be accepted from current University of Leicester students. The successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining the University’s standards of accuracy, professionalism and service excellence during a busy and high‑profile period.
Duties and responsibilities
You will be responsible for sorting, quality checking and enveloping graduation documents, ensuring precision and care at every stage. The role requires preparing graduation materials ahead of the July ceremonies and organising dispatch to both home and international recipients in a reliable and efficient manner.
In addition, you will assist with reviewing the degree congregation brochure and provide responses to basic graduation queries from internal and external stakeholders. The role also includes administrative support for graduation and early-term activities, contributing to a cohesive and well-coordinated service.
This role is based on the University of Leicester’s main campus and will run for fourteen working days from Monday 6 July 2026 to Thursday 23 July 2026.
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and strong communication abilities, with the capacity to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. A high level of IT proficiency and confidence handling large volumes of data are essential, along with the ability to contribute positively within a small team environment.
Experience within a Higher Education setting is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. The role suits someone who is organised, adaptable and committed to delivering accurate and high‑quality administrative work.
