Duties and responsibilities
Project One – Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Survey
The second iteration of our UK nuclear industry EDI survey is launching soon.
This survey collects both qualitative and quantitative data to build a deeper understanding of equity, diversity and inclusion across the sector. The Data Analyst will playa critical role in transforming raw survey data into actionable insights that can inform decision making and drive positive industry change.
Project Two – EDI Risk Tool Development
The role will support the development of a new EDI Risk Tool by conducting desktop research on publicly available datasets.
These datasets will be used to build benchmarking and reference points for the backend of the tool, ensuring it is robust, evidence based, and aligned with good industry practice.
Duties will include
•Survey Analysis: Ensuring data integrity and conducting advanced statistical analysis of collected data.
•Key Report Analysis: Systematically reviewing and analysing a variety of internal and external reports and datasets related to workforce experiences, employment lifecycle practices, and EDI metrics within the nuclear sector and the wider STEM industries.
•Data Interpretation and Reporting: Interpreting and summarising key findings from multiple data sources, and integrating both quantitative and qualitative data into cohesive insights
.•Communication: Preparing clear, concise reports, visualisations, and presentations for a range of audiences, highlighting keytrends, anomalies, and strategic recommendations.
Skills and experience
Skills & Experience:
•Microsoft Excel: Basic to intermediate proficiency, including organising data, using formulas, and managing datasets.
•Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to organise information accurately and maintain a high standard of precision in all work.
•Data Aptitude: An interest in understanding data, how it can be structured, and how insights can be drawn from both quantitative and qualitative sources
.•Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in a remote working environment. Comfortable asking questions, seeking clarification, and contributing to discussion
.•Learning Mindset: Willingness and enthusiasm to learn new software tools, develop analytical techniques, and explore research theories both independently and collaboratively.
•Academic Background: Suitable for students or recent graduates studying mathematics, statistics, social sciences, or related
fields with experience in analysing quantitative and qualitative data.
