Description

Role
Supporting international students during their summer school activities. Providing guidance and a friendly face throughout their experience, ensuring they feel welcome and confident by working closely with students on this residential course. You will provide pastoral care where required, encourage them to take part in all activities and have the potential to lead social activities.

 

Start Date: 16/7/26

End Date: 12/8/26

Working Hours: Shifts range between 9am - 6pm, shifts may be in intervals throughout the day, with short shifts typically lasting1-2 hours. Schedule to be arranged directly with the hiring manager - up to 20 hours per week.

Pay Rate: £13.30 per hour

Holiday Pay Rate: £1.61 per hour

Location: University Park Campus

Duties and responsibilities

  • Support international students whilst attending the university summer school 
  • Lead campus tours
  • Provide directions to classrooms/seminars
  • Supporting with widening participation
  • Promoting the university to international students

Skills and experience

  • Communication skills 
  • Good listening skills 
  • Collaborates with other ambassadors and university staff 
  • Punctual, dependable, well presented 
  • Ability to flexibly adjust to last minute changes
