Role

Improving accessibility of maths moodle pages

Duties and responsibilities

Going through all the mathematics modules moodle pages and checking for accessibility issues.  Making a list of recommendations.  Investigating best practice, and preparing a report on recommendations.  Helping prepare a talk for maths staff to raise awareness, and educate staff about best practice, about the impact and importance of accessibility of the moodle pages, and other aspects relevant to accessible education in mathematics.  Regularly report on progress on this project, to be carried out in June/July 2026.

Skills and experience

Students should preferably be maths students, who have used the moodle system.  Familiarity with the Ally system is an advantage.  Students from other subjects will be considered if they have experience of issues related to be accessibility of moodle for maths modules.
