Role
Our client seeking Seasonal Kitchen Assistants to support daily operations within a fast paced visitor centre kitchen. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in busy environments and understand the importance of efficiency, cleanliness, and teamwork. It provides an excellent opportunity to gain or develop practical kitchen skills, build confidence in food hygiene practices, and contribute to a positive visitor experience.
Full training will be provided.
Duties and responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation across all kitchen areas, following health and safety regulations
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly
- Ensure essential items are cleaned and available at all times to support smooth service
- Supply chefs with clean pots, pans, and equipment as needed throughout service
- Correctly dispose of waste and maintain a clean, safe working environment
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to support timely and efficient kitchen operations
Skills and experience
Essential
- Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team
- Strong attention to detail, particularly around cleanliness and food safety
- Reliable, punctual, and positive in approach
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast paced environment
- Basic understanding of hygiene and safe food handling practices
- Full UK driving licence and access to own transport (location is not accessible by public transport)
Desirable
- Previous experience in a kitchen, catering, or hospitality environment
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning processes and kitchen equipment
