Generative Minds is a Liverpool-based AI training and consultancy company focused on helping individuals and organisations build confidence in using AI. We deliver engaging, practical training to universities, businesses, charities, and the public sector, including partners such as LJMU, Enterprise Nation, and Liverpool City Council.

As we grow our training programmes across the UK, we are looking for an intern to support our delivery team. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in workshop delivery, content creation, and working in a fast-growing organisation.

The intern will work closely with the team, supporting the preparation and delivery of training sessions and gaining confidence over time. This role is designed as a supportive learning experience, with guidance and mentoring throughout.

Duties and responsibilities

The AI Academy Assistant Intern will support the planning and delivery of AI training sessions across a range of audiences.

Main duties include:

  • Supporting the delivery of AI workshops (e.g. helping facilitate activities, assisting participants, and co-delivering small sections where appropriate)
  • Assisting with the preparation of workshop materials such as slides, handouts, and activity sheets
  • Helping with session setup and basic logistics (e.g. room preparation, materials, sign-in)
  • Gathering participant feedback and helping to summarise key insights
  • Supporting the team with general admin and preparation tasks related to training delivery
  • Contributing ideas for improving sessions and learning materials

The intern will start by observing and supporting sessions, with the opportunity to gradually build confidence and take on more responsibility over time.

Skills and experience

Essential Criteria:

  • Interest in AI, technology, or digital skills (no prior experience required)
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Willingness to learn and try new things
  • Reliable, organised, and able to work as part of a team
  • Basic confidence using digital tools (e.g. PowerPoint, Google Docs, Canva)

Desirable Criteria:

  • Some awareness of AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT), though training will be provided
  • Interest in education, training, or helping others learn
  • Experience creating presentations or content (academic or informal)
  • Enthusiasm for working with different groups of people
