Role
***Ringfenced to current Level 5 and 6 LJMU students who are care leavers, care -experienced or estranged from their family and supporting themselves independently *** 

 
This internship offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the Director of Operations, gaining insight into how a growing charity operates behind the scenes. The Executive Operations Assistant will support the coordination of projects, partnerships and organisational systems that enable the charity to deliver its work effectively.
 
The role is designed as a hands on learning opportunity for someone interested in leadership, operations, social impact and the voluntary sector. The intern will gain experience across planning, administration, communications and project coordination, while contributing to the smooth running of day to day operations.

Duties and responsibilities
Executive support

  • Assist with diary coordination, meeting scheduling and preparation of agendas
  • Support preparation of documents, reports and briefing notes for meetings
  • Take clear notes during meetings and track follow up actions
  • Help manage incoming requests and prioritise tasks

Operational coordination

  • Support the organisation and tracking of operational projects
  • Assist with maintaining internal systems, trackers and documentation
  • Help coordinate logistics for meetings, workshops and internal planning session.
  • Ensure key documents and information are organised and accessible

Research and insight

  • Carry out light research to support partnerships, funding opportunities and strategic projects
  • Gather examples of good practice from other organisations
  • Support the preparation of briefing documents and summaries

Communications and relationship support

  • Assist with drafting emails, updates and internal communications
  • Support follow up with partners, stakeholders and collaborators where required
  • Help maintain clear records of partnerships and contacts

Organisational learning

  • Attend team meetings and contribute ideas where appropriate
  • Gain exposure to charity operations including governance, partnerships and programme development
  • Reflect on learning and development goals throughout the placement

Skills and experience

·       Interested in charity operations, social impact or organisational leadership

·       Able to handle sensitive information respectfully
