Description
Role
To support the delivery of the our clients Holiday Program by helping create a safe, welcoming and engaging environment for children and young people. Staff help activities run smoothly while encouraging participation and supporting a youth‑led environment. This role is worked during school holidays and only on weekdays.
Duties and responsibilities
- Support delivery of activities and daily timetable
- Build positive relationships with children and young people
- Encourage participation and inclusion
- Supervise children during activities and transitions
- Support positive behaviour and engagement
- Help create a safe and welcoming environment
- Support smooth running of sessions
- Report incidents including first aid or safeguarding concerns
Skills and experience
Professional Conduct & Expectations
Staff are expected to act as positive role models, remain attentive when supervising children, follow the clients Code of Conduct and safeguarding procedures and contribute to a respectful and supportive team environment.
Attendance & Reliability
Staff should arrive on time and remain available during their scheduled hours unless agreed with the management team. Reliability and punctuality are essential to ensure the safety and smooth running of the program.
