Description
Role
To support the smooth running of mealtimes during our clients Holiday Program by helping prepare lunch service, supervising children and young people. Dinner Supervisors help ensure children receive the correct meals and that dietary requirements are followed safely. Our client uses a colour-coded wristband system to help staff identify children who may have specific needs. For example, children with dietary requirements or allergies may wear a purple card inside their wristband, which corresponds with the dietary information provided to the catering team. Dinner Supervisors should remain attentive to this system and ensure children receive the appropriate meals, reporting any concerns to the management team.
Duties and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare lunch service area
- Ensure dietary requirements are followed
- Support a calm lunch environment
- Clean and reset the space after lunch
- Help serve meals
- Help create a safe and welcoming environment whilst supervising children and young people during lunch
- Assist younger children where needed
- Report concerns to the management team

Professional Conduct & Expectations
Staff are expected to act as positive role models, remain attentive when supervising children, follow the clients Code of Conduct and safeguarding procedures and contribute to a respectful and supportive team environment.
Attendance & Reliability
Staff should arrive on time and remain available during their scheduled hours unless agreed with the management team. Reliability and punctuality are essential to ensure the safety and smooth running of the program.
