Role
Working in Digital Services (IT)

Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide first-line IT support, resolving hardware, software, and network issues or escalating where needed
  • Deliver on-site support across campus, including in teaching spaces, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
  • Process service requests such as account setup, access permissions, and software installations
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to IT knowledge base resources to support self-service
  • Monitor and report system issues to help prevent disruptions and improve services
  • Work collaboratively within a team to deliver a high standard of customer-focused IT support

Skills and experience

  • Good digital literacy
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple service requests, ensuring timely and accurate resolution
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and escalate appropriately when required
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing positively to shared goals and supporting colleagues
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail, including maintaining accurate service records
  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance
