Description
Role
Three years ago, we created a platform from an idea to link UK investors with the Canadian Indigenous communities, with an aim for economic reconciliation. The Canadian Indigenous People are the rights holders of their land and natural resources. When we talk about ESG and green finance in the UK, it seems like a criterion for investors to tick boxes, but it's the Indigenous People's lives to look after where they live for at least 7 generations.
Last year, we had the largest number of Indigenous leaders from Canada to the UK attending our Summit since the Four Kings visited Queen Anne. This year, we have more Chiefs attending, and with Canada opening for business with the world rather than looking to trade with their southern neighbour, there are more opportunities to do business with Canada.
Duties and responsibilities
We are looking for several Event Support team members for our upcoming Canadian Indigenous Investment Summit. This is a highly professional conference serving Indigenous Chiefs, C-level professionals from Canada, the UK, and around the world.
The opportunity is on 8th April, at the London Stock Exchange. from 7 am - 6 pm, plus half a day of briefing digitally on Thursday 2nd March, and half a day in person training in the afternoon of Tuesday 7th April.
Skills and experience
- Able to deal with guests in a professional, warm, and friendly manner, like in a 5-star hotel front desk, as you will be the first people guests to meet. And our Summit is recognised as the Davos of the Indigenous People.
- Attention to details
- Time management
- Ability to think on one's feet and adapt to unexpected situations
- Able to learn new technology and software quickly
- Take initiatives
- Relevant event experience is preferred
Location
10 Paternoster Square London EC4M 7LS
