Description
Role
We are looking for a proactive and organised temporary Admissions Administrator to join the Admissions team during our busy interview period. This role is based at our Tooting campus!
This role will support the organisation and delivery of Multiple Mini Interviews (MMIs) and help ensure applicants have a professional, welcoming and well-organised interview experience. The successful candidate will work closely with the Admissions team, Admissions Tutors, and student ambassadors to run interview days and assist with general admissions administration.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administrative and organisational skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced, people-facing environment.
Duties and responsibilities
Applicant Interviews
- Prepare interview materials and documentation
- Share responsibility of running interview days and guiding applicants through the process
- Work with student ambassadors and staff to ensure interview days run smoothly
- Deliver briefings to applicants and assessors
- Provide a point of contact for stakeholders on the interview day
- Setting up and taking down the interview room
- Managing student ambassadors
- Collate interview scores and assist with processing outcomes using internal systems and Excel
Applicant Enquiries
- Provide a professional and friendly service to applicants
- Respond to enquiries via email and phone
- Support applicants throughout the admissions and interview process
Administrative Support
- Maintain applicant records on university systems
- Prepare materials and resources for interview days
- Maintain confidentiality when accessing applicant’s personal data
Skills and experience
Essential
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Confident using Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Outlook)
- Positive and can-do attitude
Desirable
- Previous administrative experience
- Experience working in a higher education, events, or customer service environment
