Role
Our prestigious client is looking for a motivated PHP Developer to join their team on a part-time basis. This role is perfect for a current student or a recent graduate looking to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world application. You will be working on modern web applications, focusing on clean code and efficient problem-solving.
Duties and responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework.
- Writing clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
- Experience in utilising AI-assisted coding tools within an IDE (like Codex or Claude) to produce and optimise your work.
- Collaborating with the team to troubleshoot issues and implement new features.
Skills and experience
- A strong grasp of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with (or a strong desire to master) Laravel.
- An interest in utilising AI-assisted coding tools (like GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT) to optimise your work.
- The ability to manage your 20 hours effectively while working remotely.
- While the role is remote, we love supporting talent from the Stoke-on-Trent area.
