Role
Duties and responsibilities
- Provide specialist administration to designated postgraduate research (PGR) programmes, ensuring effective procedures are adopted and documented for dealing with all aspects of the administration.
- Assist in achieving a high quality and timelyservice to current and prospective students and staff related to the designated PGR degree programmes and beyond.
- Provide support for all matters relating to the teaching and learning activities of students, from enquiry to completion, including supporting committees and processes relating to assessment, student, and programme records.
- Work closely with Departmental and Faculty PGR tutors to ensure their needs are met.
Skills and experience
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (including Mathematics and English Language) or equivalent, or having acquired relevant experience
- Administrative work in a busy office environment
- Administration in higher/further education or a teaching and learning environment
- Experience of organising and servicing committees (desirable)
Skills and abilities
- Good computer skills, including using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook,Teams, and the internet
- Clear verbal and written communication skills (including accurate grammar, spelling and punctuation)
- Have good interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of people, including the ability to relate to staff and students in a teaching and learning context
- Be able to prioritise and organise own workload, meet time-critical schedules
- Be able to collate and record information accurately using a variety of media
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrate commitment to high quality service provision
- Commitment to and knowledge of advancing equality, diversity and inclusion
- Familiarity with student records systems (e.g. Portico, SITS) and virtual learning environments (e.g. Moodle, Blackboard) (Desirable)

UCL; Hybrid working with 2 days per week in the office and the other days from hom
