Contract Type: Permanent, Part-time
Hours: 17 hours per week, term-time only (Mon - Fri,)
With an option to work overtime in the Easter and Summer holidays.
Location: Various school locations across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire

Our prestigious client is looking for a highly motivated and dedicated swimming teacher to join their team. In which they take their pool to schools and require the best swimming teachers to deliver this.
Duties and responsibilities
You will play a vital role in teaching children a life-saving skill and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. Following the National curriculum for Primary PE, you will teach engaging and inspiring swimming lessons, help children develop their swimming ability and confidence and provide essential water safety education. Along with this you will also:
- Plan and deliver swimming lessons using a variety of techniques that engage and motivate children. To be delivered in portable pools at various primary schools across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire
- Follow our established swimming curriculum to ensure comprehensive instruction
- Help children develop their swimming ability and reach their full potential by identifying strengths and areas for improvement
- Teach water safety skills to children in a fun and interactive manner, ensuring that they understand the importance of staying safe in and around water
- Use high quality equipment and follow safety standards to ensure that children have a safe and enjoyable swimming experience
- Assess and track student progress, offering feedback and areas for improvement
- Maintain an accurate record of student attendance and performance
- Adhere to safety and lifeguarding protocols, ensuring safety of children is paramount at all times
Skills and experience
- Level 2 in Swimming Teaching
- Possession of a lifeguard qualification or NRASTC certification is highly advantageous, but not a requirement as training will be provided
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for teaching and promoting water safety
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
- Clean enhanced DBS
- Ambitious with a desire to achieve high levels of performance
- A positive attitude and a flexible approach
- Happy, positive and a good team player
