Description

Role

To assist the project leads for “​Understanding and Enhancing the Research Culture of Teaching-Focused Academics“ (funded by Warwick’s Enhancing Research Culture Fund) between April and July 2026. The project explores how teaching-focused academics experience research culture at Warwick. 

The role will involve assistance with one-to-one interviews with staff members, qualitative analysis of interview outcomes and workshop preparation.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Undertake training with respect to research ethics, handling research data and conducting research with human participants
  • Interview preparation, including managing invitations and arranging appointments
  • Conducting one-to-one semi-structured interviews with staff members
  • Checking interview transcripts for accuracy
  • Assistance with analysis of interview transcripts
  • Assistance with the organising of the collaboration workshop
  • Attendance and assistance with the collaboration workshop (provisionally Thursday 25th June 2026)
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records.

Skills and experience

  • A good undergraduate degree in a relevant subject such as psychology, social science or related discipline (postgraduate qualification desirable)
  • Experience of qualitative research methods (e.g. interviews, thematic analysis)
  • Experience of conducting interviews
  • Good organisational and communication skills relevant to a university setting or research context

Combination of on campus (Warwick) and home working
